This is a conceptual bridge project, derived from taking the mechanisms of everyday household items (in this case the worm screw of a adjustable wrench and the pivot mechanism of a nail clipper) and scaling them in a form that would allow a bridge to create a path for a boat to pass though. I chose to make a bridge that hinged open to the side as I saw it a as more interesting challenge than a simple lifting bridge.
