Light Boxes
Above are the light box experiments made for this project, showing different ways to control light and spread it across a surface. using the idea of control with with surfaces, I created a church that spreads light across the walls and imports light in many unique ways. in order to do this in a real world setting, first we must perform a site analysis
Site Analysis
Above is the site plan, to the left are analysis on the site's circulation, spaces, form, heirarchy, and the sun angles for the area during the summer and winter solstice, where the angle is at its two peaks.
Positioning
On the left is the site for the new building. This spot was chosen due to it's connection to the origins of the campus, and for it's strong repesentation as an important spot. Below is the floor plan, showing a simple business end and a showy worship area.
